There wasn't a surprise element in it, I think.

It's just an awesome sight IF $1 Trillion Dollars was placed just like that.

Nice post. When I was a kid, the big analogy was the difference between a million and a billion: if you had a million dollars and spent $1000 per day, you'd run out of money in about 3 years. If you had a billion and spent $1000 per day, it would take 3 THOUSAND years to spend it all. A trillion??? Good God. The illustration here puts it in perspective that few people realize.

Ok check this out. This spins my mind.

The us budget summary page 2. (PDF alert)
    http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/asset.aspx?AssetId=764

The us received in taxes 2.381 billion $
    They spend 3,552 billion $
The National debt this year is 18.221 billion $

That means in name of every american the government has a debt of
    18.221.000.000.000/300.000.000 = 60.736 $ per american.

Now i scratched my head a couple of times but i came to this.

This amount is not payable anymore. Ever..
I mean if they were to pay the interest only that this debt brings every year, they would almost have spend there entire years budget.
Which they can't cause police have to patrol the streets etc.
So an unpayable amount, which only gets bigger. Snowball effect if you will.

Then the debt they are making needs to come from somewhere.
China buys allot of the state bonds, or in other words china owns a large amount of the us his debt.

So the conclusion is America is bankrupt and China owns all there stocks.
    Uhm.. right?

Winner, winner, chicken dinner! Someone get this man a prize!

You are right. Does it have to stay this way? Not at all. America is a great country and just like our own personal finances, we can have bad year one after another. Once we get to the basics and revise our financial plan, we can break even and then start saving.

Because of this issue, 2010 is going to be a big election year.

Funny your talking about this. I am on vacation at my Emerald Cay Island home. I had my servants unloaded all my cash out of the pallets so I could swim in it. My CPA manager was with me and he can verify I have at larger pallet of money than in those pics. I counted more than a trillion dollar along with my CPA manager before we burnt out 19 money counting machines:thumb:

    My island is for sale:
