I have a site that is one month old since being indexed and I started building links pretty agressive right out the start.

All links are high PR web 2.0s. I think I have at least 15,000 indexed 2.0s so far. All backed up with 50k wikis or more.

Content isn't the best. Spun but not very readable which I am thinking is the issue.

Or is it that I just built links to aggressively?

Anchor texts are extremely diversified, to the max!

Threw some high pr bookmarking and high pr blog comments in the mix to see if I could get out of the dungeon but nothing as I am still at 2 hits a day.

This is an e-commerce store btw so its not like I can ditch the site.

    What do you guys think?

P.S. I have not received any notification in webmaster tools and I have over 1,500 pages indexed. I also haven't seen much jumping around.

Well I have tried the extremely aggressive approach once with 5k+ links per day for a month (all kinds of links) and not a lot of tiering. Needless to say, 8 months later, still somewhere far far away :)

I got a site almost a month old and did around 1,000 - 2,000 per day blasts directly to the site (around 10 types of links (no sb blasts or xrumer blasts included)). Been around 1 week now and still nowhere in the top 1000.

P.s: I also redirected a 2 year old domain to this site.

Link building is not the issue and you are not Ranked so you can't be Sandboxed.

    My Experience :
I had an autoblog on domain.com/autoblog
My Domain1.com go penalized due to Excessive Link Building which was getting 50k visitors per day.

I moved domain1 to domain.com but the autoblog was still there as I created links for both domain1 and domain.com, also I workd hard to make the content readable with no HTML errors etc on domain.com/autoblog - So I wasn't ready to giveup the autoblog and wanted to continue with redirected domain1 to domain.com

I did many things read many seo blogs etc

But the moment I gaveup the blog and blocked in robots.txt my domain.com came up in serps in a matter of minutes - To be exact within 30 minutes I was in 3 Position for my Keyword exactly where domain1.com was.

I had redirected 301 many times before and they came up well but this time it was not coming up, so the only thing left was bad content on autoblog which was pulling it down.

The Good thing is till I continued with my decision to keep domain.com site and domain.com/autoblog together I created about 100k links on various sites, including web2.0 web 5.3 etc you know what i mean and even on emd.tld's

Thanks for the reply. So you are saying that it was probably due to the bad content from your autoblog that was causing the issue?

And by the way I am ranking for very long tail keywords for pages I created with no content on them haha.

And all the content on my site is unique and well written even the product pages.

It's a 1 month old site. You might be sandboxed from the beginning for a few months.

Just be patient, keep link building. You must be going up against sites that are 3+ years old.

I opened a micro niche, threw in some basic articles. submitted to search engines. Did some basic manual link building to various type sites....let it sit for a couple weeks.

After about 1 month I went back in...did some detailed on page SEO for my keywords, rewrote all articles with natural keywords thrown in. submitted/blasted lots of articles to article directories. = that got me to #9 on first page of G for my KW.

Then about the 3rd month I went back added some more add ons for WP for seo, bought a couple 2.0 and link prymid gigs on fiverr and did some relevant blasts to .com edu and .govs..started up no hands seo and been letting it run for weeks now...guess that did the trick cause..

After I Danced around for a bit on G serps and went back again now I am at #3 spot....

Yeah this is what I was thinking. Even the really easy long tails I am not showing up for even where competition is easy pickings.

Weird because I have done the same strategies on other sites and I was totally fine but this time I upped the daily links 3x.

I launched a site on February 29th and have built 50 web 2.0's and had two 5k Scrapebox blasts to 25 of the web 2.o's. I am still not in the top 1,000 SERPS.

No one has been able to tell me why I am not ranking. It is an EMD micro niche site. I would think I should be at least in the top 1,000 SERPS but it's just not happening.

Maybe it just takes longer to rank since the last Panda update?

Didn't you say the content was spun and not very readable?

I personally know from experience that having good readable content will make a world of a difference. Not only in regards to ranking, but also (and more importantly) to be able to get a good night's sleep without having to worry about Google giving you a spankin ;)

    Just my 5 cents!

I'm not sure what you're doing wrong. I just built a brand new site a couple weeks ago. It took about 3-4 days for all my pages to get indexed. All i've done so far was buy a $15 social bookmarking package to my homepage. I usually wait for my site to get indexed before doing any SEO.

Also if it's an eCommerce site, make sure all your product descriptions are unique and not just carbon copies of the same products on other sites.

I have the feeling (backed by several experiments) that the new algorithm has something to do with the following variable: Number of visits/number of links to page.

That means, if pages of your new e-commerce have 10visits/month but 5K links.... logically it does not go together. Therefor, I would suggest you to buy traffic (in bulk), to make the numbers going more together.

Disclaimer: This advice comes from my personal experiments only and you use it on your own risk.

His site and mine are indexed. The problem is that they are not ranking well. Is your site in the top 1,000 SERPS?

Interesting claim. Do you have a thread up anywhere on this?

Yea, it's already starting to drizzle in some SE traffic. It's actually ranking in Yahoo much better than G. The only other thing I can think of is your onsite seo. You've got tons of pages indexed, how are you handling your meta/title tags?

My site is only 3 pages with all original content. So no problem with my meta/title tags.
