If I get the domain name for a typo that is getting 1 million monthly searches, would that be of any benefit, or does google just correct their mistake and route them around to the right place? thx the typo is not of a business or anything copyrighted

Are you sure you're not using a broad match for that?

Make sure your using exact match!

And be careful that your not going to be getting some lawyers letters coming your way if it's a big company.

Do the search yourself in google and see what the results show for the typo.

Google will search for the correct word if it is a typo, you wouldn't get any traffic.

No, because Google will automatically correct your keyword to the correct post. It's annoying, I know, but there is no way to turn it off for other people :)

Well you need to know direct type in traffic. For example people go straight to twitter.com, if they search and type twiiiter.com google will filter.

You can SEO the typo and "force" google to direct it your way. I have done it before, I did not see a lot of money from it.
Then again I did not had a typo with a million searches...

if you can get the exact *com then put some ¢pm ads on it you will make a murdering killing boat of money ... but getting the ¢pm ads might be hard as a typo domain... maybe some bh stuff to fake/hide the source of the traffic (iframe? / php include ... dunno i dont know the bh too much) but the key is get an add that will pay to be seen with out any action ... that way in the 1 second their on your page youll get paid..

I have a website in the health and wellness niche. I bought a domain and built a site around a misspelled word. I am making money off of it. For example:
hemorrhoid treatment but instead of spelling it that way I spell it hemoroid treatment. I hope this helps. If it is truly getting that many searches, go for it.

Google will give you the "did you mean xxxx". 90% will click that... So, take that into consideration... Not many will click no to that question..

Incorrect, Google will show results for the correct term automatically, they don't have to click anything, so it's pretty much worthless.

Have you typed hemroid treatment in Google lately? There are some commonly misspelled words that it does not do that for. Just check google and see what it does when you type in the keyword.
