hey, started 4 new Instagram accounts. 30 generally relevant hashtags that i got with risedecoded, 3-4 posts per day. on the best performing one created september 5 (not memes) i got 96 followers and 54 posts. is that ratio ok? i saw accounts on that niche with 220 posts and 2200 followers. i don't think my content is worse than his tbh. will it grow quicklier later on if i maintain quality? just trying to get a feeling of whats normal at this stages.

One thumb rule is to find hashtags that have same numbers of searches as your account number of followers. So if I were you I would search hashtags with up to 500 searches per month. After that you can add bigger hashtags but for the time being you need to try to hit explore page lower hashtags.

Thanks for the advice. I am mostly using really small and niche hashtags. In your experience, do all accounts start slowly? (Not taking memes and hot girls into account)

Yes. first 1k of followers it's slowly. I am doing manual growth and even with that is still slowing. I think it's a psychology thing. People like accounts that are followed by others so if they see that you are new, they're inclined just not to follow that fast.
