    Hey Guys,

I just wanted to provide a little inspiration to the media buying section of the forum. This is why Re-targeting is so powerful. Below you can see a screen shot of a campaign we are currently running. In this campaign you can see the major difference between the campaign with Re-targeting and when there was no retargeting.

In this campaign we used a different type of re-targeting, it is re-targeting based on impressions, so the first 500,000 impressions we gathered data for about the user and the site they were on. Then we take that data and expand it into "look-a-like" audiences where the user profile closely resembles that of the initial data. The results are extraordinary, bringing the client a TON more traffic for their spending. Unfortunately the utilization of this type of data comes at a cost... meaning you have to have a big budget, however, this works on small scales as well.

The site we are advertisng on is a mix of business sites like businessinsider, wallstreetjournal, etc... which is why we are paying a $3.50 CPM.

I suggest even if you are thinking of media buying, you should always always always set some retargeting pixels on your site to gain data.

Why kind of ads is this? Banner, text? Free stuff, discount or call to action method used? I am really curious of this case as a person who is paying for ads always looking for ideas how to get more CTR and more targeted people.

How did you "take that data and expand it into "look-a-like" audiences" ? Is there any service?

Yes it is true that Re-Targeting is so Powerful, but only to people who have big money to spend...
I doubt that re-targeting will work for most of us that do small advertising campaigns with low budget, less then $1k.
Anyway, great share as always :)

    One question:

In case I set a retargeting pixel on my lp and I collect data for around a month, then i'll be able to specifically target these people again, that have already visited my website (so also have shown interest in my ad/topic)? Is that correct?

But the traffic volume will be much lower, won't it? I know its a lot more targeted and will decrease CPC etc. but the volume will be lower, right? As you are only targeting people that have already visited your website i.e there's only a bunch of targeted people. Out of these people there won't be everybody online.

Am I right or do I understand something completely wrong?

    Thanks, duz
