Can you elaborate about the AVG Ratio for incoming links? Is there a link diversity ratio?

My largest site jumps between page 1 and page 3. Yesterday I changed my metatitle/metadescription. When Google displays the site on page 1 it shows the new meta information. When the sites on 3rd page it shows the old meta information. Anyone seen similar results?
