These are quality directory links that plenty of your competitors will have too. I wouldn't disavow. It's unlikely this is the reason you have slipped in the rankings

Thanks, I'm doing both - building legit guest posts to money site, less legit towards newspapers is the idea... and then more to a few other brand sites which in turn link to the main money site.

I work in a similar situation. The main company website has a clean link profile and I imagine yours does too. On the one hand you don't want to risk damaging the link profile and on the other you need more links. One of the dangers is that you do nothing. I would look at where your competitors...

Yeah, good point. I looked at other articles on the news websites which had high page authority and even the ones with the most links only had a couple of links - no spam (according to majestic at least). Thanks
