Me too, they are usually full of viruses and Trojans. At least if I download something from bhw I can know for sure if it is free from infections even before I download it :)

I think that anything that a publisher does to 'encourage clicks' is probably a violation of Adsense tos. I would focus on build a quality content site, clicks would then come naturally
