To this is incredibly late for an update, but life happens!
Since starting this thread I've built one blog to a steady income, and have started 2 more blogs and an ecommerce shop.
Updates on the Original Blog:
The original blog brings in a steady income of $2500-$3500/m on autopilot; this...
Most of my traffic is coming from pinterest, and soon it will be facebook. Social networks are amazing for my niche, so I'm sticking to them for now.
Care to share a little more about your own journey?
I never said it was. I simply stated that I was an "extroverted' introvert, and even my confidence couldn't help me knock my naturally-introverted ways.
People rarely think im an introvert, and they sure as fuck don't think Im awkward. That's not the issue.
The issue is being in my head so...
Whoever mentioned networking is full of shit. No offense though to whoever said it :)
I hear this alot with, out of all the people, filmmakers.
It doesnt take much to produce your own project: Raise some money, do some begging, max your credit cards off, and you'll be on your way. But most...
Just woke up to an email that says I hit 61 new subscribers in the past 24hrs - I'm pleased with this.
Updates
People are subscribing at an alarming rate, so Im going to spend the next week or so trying to increase conversions. I spent the first 15 days tweaking shit until I got the...
So it's been little over a month, and I'm still in here.
I have good news, and more good news.
Good news: I kicked off my passive-income with a bang (In that, I made sales immediately.)
Better news: Im now producing less free blog content, and more premium content that leads to paid content...
7:25 AM 7/8/2015 Update:
I'm still focused on content creation, but something interesting happened yesterday: Pinterest emailed me, and sent me an invite to their promoted pins. I had about 5-6 posts that were written to just get content on the site, so I decided to promote one of those pins...
I've gone to great lengths to explain three things:
1) I have NOT laid down the entire strategy, because certain elements are a given.
2) It CLEARLY IS alot of work
(And to a lesser extent)
3) The title was an exaggeration
So I'll asnwer your post, to settle this "But 500K is so...
7/6/2015 - update:
I took a day off to rest. I didn't take off the 4th-of-july, so you can bet I took off the 5th.
Today I'm working on free resources, and other downloadables that will supplement blog posts & articles. This is the easiest part, but I have to download some software in order to...
Lazy mans journey to $500,000 on autopilot: PT 4: Content creation
7/4/2015 - update:
Just got done doing some advanced content planning, and I still have alot to do. Currently im working on my basic (Non-promotional) auto-responders. My goal was 52 blog posts, so I need at least 52 general...
Not entirely impossible, if you market to the right people, and you have enough buyers lined up. The products themselves aren't based on anything that's difficult for me to understand. I have advanced knowledge of the problems that the info products will solve, and all of the products will be...
Tried outsourcing the content, and it was never quite right, so I have to do it myself.
I know what Im capable of, and I take lots of reality-tv-show-and-cookie breaks to refuel.
That's only partly a joke.
It's a lot of work, but compared to what regular people do...it's not. Even if I just hit the 100K this year, that's 10-15 hours a week MAX after I do the grunt work. Most people make less than half that, but work 30+ hours a week.
Im being active today to be lazy tomorrow...preferably on a...
Well, here's where you got me: Im not in the IM game; I'm in the sustainable business game. Digital marketing is only a part of that. A big part, but only a part. There are many things that go into marketing than networking. That's a big part of it, but not the biggest.
I have connections with...
(Sorry I had to shorten your post, it wouldn't let me post it for some reason. Trigger words)
Oh, I meant free traffic.
I work as a consultant for semi-popular bloggers and online business owners (You don't know their names, but they make over 300K/year, and are all under 30 years of age)...
Update: I signed up for the promotional-pins program at pinterest. I've personally seen how powerful promoted pins are, so if I spend any amount of money, it'll probably be with this. There's a waiting list, so I signed up just in case I need it in the future.
I'm getting slightly burned out by...
For the content creation period, 24-hours a day as far as im concerned.
I don't want to be working hard, 6 months down the road so im doing the bulk of it now.
Maintenance on the site would ideally be 3-4 hours a day after that, and nothing when I start turning a profit, and can hire people to...
