If you posting to your feed then sharing to groups, you need to make sure the post is public and not just for friends! You can still share a friend's post to groups but only your friends in that group will see the post!

Its what I do at the moment, there are lots of other factors involved - warming, build, joining groups and so on.. but its a good place to start as your main domain shouldn`t be exposed! It's not my main project but it helps drive traffic to my websites!
