I would say it depends on what you want to do with the phone. I've had the hardest time syncing photos and music to my android devices, but they offer many more features. iPhones just work for me, and serves my purpose... If i want a phone for jailbroken apps or anything like that I'll get one later

No, but I think the whole world of URL's is comparable to the old days of claiming land. Same thing applies to Twitter, or any other popular site that comes up instantly. If you think they're worth it grab them. But on the same side, I don't see abstract URL names trending for ~5 years.
