It is very unlikely, but it certainly has happened. Example: YouTuber GradeAUnderA went viral after someone randomly stumbled across one of his videos and posted it to Reddit. He now makes a living off of YouTube.

Sure, some countries would be tricky. Australia might charge up to 30 bucks just for a bed in a hostel, but in Thailand you'd get a hotel room with an aircon, three square meals and plenty drunk on 30 dollars. :)
