So many bots or something posting here saying "good method".. lol.. this method died MANY years ago.

Hello all, am a newb to these forums and I don't understand all the pointless comments on many posts here, basically saying "thanks for the great info" or whatever. Is this just people (or bot accounts) posting to try and "up" their post count?
