Bought the domain, setup the hosting and got the site complete with thin content within 24 hrs. Linked within those 24 hrs and submitted to google to crawl.... then went back a couple of weeks later to put a lot more content on.

Just an update! It has been over 4 weeks since I added the PBN link and my rankings went from #3 to anywhere from page 3 to page 5. Finally I have moved back to page 2. That's a good sign I believe. I hope it continues to move upwards but we shall see. I just built a couple of small links and...

I've not even got the site on GWT and that would be conflicting advice... considering if Google really is checking if I make any moves, that would prove I panicked and changed something to try and get my ranking back. I'm gonna hold tight for now... btw I forgot to mention in a previous post...

The next guy directly competing with me is on page 4, the keyword is very untapped and the first 2 pages are just in the same niche, not that exact keyword at all. I'm sure it's due to the link, as literally 24hrs later I dropped.

Should I just leave the link and build out the site to make it appear more normal, or remove the link? I feel like removing it will look even more fishy...

The first one I built I built it over a couple of months then dropped the link. This one I only built and dropped over a few days... perhaps this is the cause...? If so how can I rectify that... I understand it was potentially stupid.
