Imagine if you had a hundred crap computers. Say they'll run [pick your favorite headless linux distro here]. And say electricity and an internet connection are free commodities. What crypto would you mine with them for the best yields and most value when trading the crypto you mine?

Looks like standard expired-domain redirection, to me. In the case of that HTC link for example, the whole domain is 301'ing to that competitor's page. They probably bought the domain on auction or picked it up after it expired - and then just did a sitewide 301 redirect to their money page...

I think the goal is to AVOID a 301, as the spammy site could pass along penalties to the money site.

There are a couple of websites that I've noticed cropping up in metro/city searches where they don't actually have a presence. One of these is [fit w oma n][c 0m ] - for example: "weight loss camp phoenix" returns f i t woman. "fat camp for adults chicago" does as well. I can't see any on-site...
