Yeah, after reading the forum I see it's the most popular method - I always assumed they have some kind of spiders like google (so that even emails on a page with one backlink will be harvested eventually) That sucks (for me) since I will have to build more backlinks - who would have thought...

How do spammers harvest their email lists? Do they use something like scrapebox and search Google for "gmail + keyword" for example. Or do they have spiders that crawl the web...? I would like to do a little experiment to see what kind of email obfuscation works - but I don't know if they go...

I know there are web2.0 providers that will suspend your account for spam - I believe squidoo did at one time (or was it hubpages )

Have you ever had your domain or webhosting suspended after scrapebox spam? E.g. someone complained to registrar / hosting provider...
