Following this :) I have a couple of games on the market myself, and the # of downloads you're talking about seems crazy! What are you going to spend on advertising?
I own a game simlar to torn dot com and bootleggers dot us - a text based mafia game, also available in the android market. I make money when players either buy ingame goods directly with paypal or complete trialpay-offers to get ingame goods. I've made some money (you can check the thread I...
Yeah:) Did you buy the one I saw at flippa maybe? The freemium model works great with these types of games. Get players addicted, and offer them extra cool ingame items and such.
A little update: I've been active / not so active in periods with my games, but I'm getting ~$100/month with the few players I have. The really difficult part is getting more players.
I run a few text based browser games myself, and I'm using game-advertising-online, facebook and admob at the moment. Have you heard of leetmedia or cpmstar? Those might work for you.
Same here. Reason:
"Your account application was disregarded because the fields on your application were regarded as misleading, illegible, or spammy/malicious."
I disagree and I've asked about it, but they haven't answered.
Hey guys! Who do you follow yourself to get cool news about internet marketing?
I just created a list on twitter with these (I do affiliate marketing and mobile):
@applift
@leadbolt
@adscend
@*******
@adworkmedia
@optimizely
@inmobi
@googlemobileads
Obviously I need more :)
Just adding to that: I'm using a game advertising network with regular traffic - not mobile traffic. So that CPA isn't bad, considering it's computer-users coming to a game fit for a mobile screen.
Cool. Haven't seen that before.
Update: I've spent $50 on advertising with a game advertising network and gotten users at an average of $1.88/each new activated player. I'm going to work on my landing page and try another $50.
Update: Only $5 more since my last update, but that's with a new game I've started! I've started advertising one of the game now (started yesterday), but I'm seeing a $2+ cost per new registered player. I don't think that'll make me any money in the end.
Earned so far: $35
