Yeah, I also kind of figured out that it was Amazon doing this via a retargeting company. The point then is what if a person clicks through my affiliate link and doesn't buy anything (but my cookie is still valid for 24 hours) - then Amazon shows him/her a retargeted ad in the next few hours and...- murtagh

Same here - I saw this about a month ago and thought some guy was messing around with FB ads and will soon be banned by Amazon but even today I can see this working. For re targeting to work, you need to have a code installed on the site that the potential buyer has visited and there's no way he...- murtagh
