Yeah, it's HDR (high dynamic range). There are some filters/adjustments you can do in Photoshop to get that effect. One great piece of software that helps is called Photo Matix by HDRSoft... or just google HDR photoshop tutorials. BTW, the photographer is David Hill, and his photos are AMAZING!! :)

I didn't see this get answered yet... but, you can use "whatwpthemeisthat" (can't post links yet) and it will tell you what WP theme a site is using (if any) and what plugins in finds. Hope that helps!
