scoail media, even just a fb page might be effective from a trust signal from google tho also is much of your traffic recurring? you might be able to capitalise on that with some retargeting on fb and then an email list.

do you have social media profiles for the website? interesting how the low hanging fruit isnt ranking. have you considered getting a few good paid links, guest posts etc? Ive quiet a similar idea to yours except with 3 sites in 3 niches.

I second the idea of creating a blog about being homeless and living in your car. People will read that stuff, any real human interest stories will get traffic. Create a blog, post the url back here and maybe the community could help? perhaps send him some links? get him some traffic?
