Different niches I'll keep them on the same host. If they are somewhat related niches or fall under a general category together, I'll put those sites on another host, strictly because I want to interlink them.

Typically my rankings on the other search engines, lag behind Google (both positively and negatively). Id give it some more time, before I started to worry about it.
