IMO, i think you should drop the site and move into new ones. Suddenly dropped to #600 is not a good sign. And from my own experience, there is little chance that it can go up again.

Sometimes you website will jump around and back to the previous position within a few weeks. I think your website is not penalized by Google in the first place. From my experience, some PR1-5 and a few .edu is not enough to get you out in case your site get penalized.

Just 1 question, i have about 100k+ of profile backlinks (the most difficult to index). How long would i expect for them to be indexed? I have used several backlink index service before with the highest rate of only 30% in 60 days.
