    Definitely still worth trying imo but I have gotten a lot more picky. When the old niches old backlinks, and old history just does not match up, I think that it is best to start from scratch.

    I place more emphasis on the page linking back to me rather than the headlines that the site generates. If the page has gd reasons to refers to my site then the link tends to be much more releivant.

    For me that meant obsessing over meta key words and disavowing any link with a low DA that i could get my hands on. Spents way too much tym fixing things that google ignored for the most part. Now i only use the disavow tool when google tells me to.
