If your rankings aren't moving at all after indexing, that's the biggest sign tbh.
Check if they're showing up in Search Console, if not then Google probably doesn't care about them.
High-quality backlinks from authoritative sites (like .edu, .gov, or well-established blogs) give the most power. Also, natural backlinks from relevant content work better than spammy ones.
Pay per click means you only pay when someone clicks your ad. For example, if you run a Google ad and 100 people see it but only 5 click, you only pay for those 5 clicks, not for the views.
