Hello @OptiMaster
That makes sense. I’m fully expecting some level of pullback during the honeymoon phase, so I’m mainly watching whether the same URLs continue to get re-tested and whether query coverage keeps expanding after the first month. If anything holds or improves after month two...
I don’t expect internal linking to replace backlinks. This test is only about how far consistent topical coverage and structure can push a fresh site before external trust signals become necessary. I fully expect a ceiling without links, similar to what you described (page 2–3 in many niches).
I usually link out using natural, descriptive anchors (brand / entity / context-based), not exact-match keywords. The goal of external links in this setup is citation and context, not anchor text optimisation.
On average, around 2–3 internal links per article. They’re placed based on topical and entity overlap rather than keyword matching. I also usually include 1–2 external references to authoritative sources when it makes sense for the topic.
It’s a custom Next.js-based publishing and automation stack that I built and operate myself. It’s not publicly released at the moment — I’m using it only for controlled testing, and I’m not promoting it here.
I didn’t log the exact timing for the very first articles, so I can’t say precisely. From the articles I tracked later in the test, indexing usually happened within a few hours up to ~24 hours after publishing.
In most cases, first indexing happened within a few hours to 24 hours after publishing. I’m using sitemap + internal links and also submitting new URLs through the official Google Indexing API as a discovery hint. I don’t treat that as a ranking factor — only to reduce crawl latency.
Good point — to be precise:
I do submit new URLs via Google Indexing API for discovery.
No third-party indexers, no ping networks, no paid services.
It’s only the official Google Indexing API, used just to notify new URLs.
It doesn’t bypass crawling or ranking — it only speeds up URL discovery.
Agreed.
I’m treating this phase strictly as discovery and matching, not validation.
The real signal for me will be whether query coverage and impressions continue to expand after the 30–45 day window without adding external links.
That’s the part I’m mainly benchmarking.
Agree.
That’s exactly why I’m tracking this over multiple weeks before drawing any conclusions.
Right now I’m only logging discovery and query-matching patterns, not treating this as a ranking result.
Yes, that matches what I usually see as well.
In my tests, the first stable signal is whether...
Totally agree.
I’m not testing “ranking without links”, but how fast Google starts understanding and testing a new site when topical coverage and internal structure are consistent. I also expect a ceiling without external signals. This experiment is mainly about shortening the discovery and...
In 2026, voice search optimization has moved far beyond just 'using long-tail keywords.' Since most voice queries are handled by LLM-based assistants (like Gemini, GPT-4o, or Perplexity), the game is now about Semantic Density and Direct Answer Mapping.
Here is how I approach it in my current...
Hi,
I’m testing a content production workflow on a brand-new site.
Setup:
new domain (~30 days)
27 published articles
zero backlinks
no outreach
no manual SEO work
internal links only
content generated and structured through an automated pipeline
Observation:
One long-form article started...
