why do you want to use wordpress in the first place? if the landing you want to close is mostly HTML, you just need to copy/paste the source code and make a few text edits.

changing the domain does not affect where the old files may be. if the files are still there wherever you hosted them previously, you can still get them through a control panel your host would have given to you.
