Thanks, but the weird thing is that if I search "how to do something" and there are EMDs in the results, only "do something" are highlighted. I thought that common words "how, to, and, or, etc." would be excluded from EMD ranking increase
I know that, but it's a group of companies (Medscape, magazines, apps) not just one website. The actual Web MD website is probably responsible for 2-3% of these earnings.
Thanks everyone. OK, maybe Adsense is not that bad and I've been using it for the last 5 years on some of my websites, but still I don't believe it's the best monetization method. Going to try markethealth now, I've heard some bad stuff about them but still.. can't resist the offers.
Their business model is different from mine, they are not looking to make as much money as possible in the shortest amount of time, their adsense placement is awful too.
Mostly supplements, or specific disease niche. Thanks for the link, I'll check them out.
It's only bad when comparing it to other things, almost any website which makes money through adsense could be making 10 times more with affiliate stuff.
Hi, I need an honest advice. I have some health sites which are getting OK organic traffic, so I guess the hardest part is over. Now, how to monetize the website fully?
We all know that adsense is bullshit and nobody really uses it as a main income. So, please don't recommend that. The main...
How important is exact match domain in your opinion?
How would you rank these 3 domains for a keyword "car stereo", if they all had exactly the same quantity and quality of links and other ranking factors.
CarStereo.com
Car.Stereo.com
Bullshit.com/Car-Stereo
CarStereo.com would...
I was wondering, many people say you should write at least 500 word articles, but what if I wrote 50 word article and then had 9 comments averaging 50 words each on that page? How would Google see it? 50 or 500 words?
I removed affiliate crap and the traffic jumped back to normal + 10%, but today I haven't done anything and it has dropped 60%.. and I'm talking about ~4 year old authority sites with site links in google. But 11th of October was the main hit.
Seems to be back to normal here after I took out all the clickbank affiliate links... they were nofollow and cloaked, but still... but I have 1 site with lots of affiliate links, not much content, about 6 months old, and it has risen to a level where it's getting the same traffic as my 5 year...
Also, it's so stupid to depend on one shitty company.. they don't care about people making websites at all, thinking they are gods just because they have the biggest % of market share. At least they could give us guidelines on what needs to be done to improve the site and not just make up random...
Yeah, probably the most accurate post in this thread.. but it's easy to guess when you don't know what's actually going on.
Affiliate links which are not cloaked are getting hit for sure, the only issue I have is finding out if cloaking the affiliate links doesn't affect the site.
Either...
How come EMD matters a lot? all of my domains are EMD and they got raped pretty badly.. the only thing that's important I think is affiliate links, all of my affiliate links were cloaked and nofollow but after I completely removed them, the traffic jumped around 400%, way more than it was...
aren't markethealth scamming people? I've read a thread on here about that. They have good products, but I'm not going to trust them. any other alternatives?
