I'm getting ready to launch a new site and I'm looking for hosting but I've never gone beyond the shared hosting route, which I'll need to do this time. Are managed vps hosting setups easy to use or is it still going to be overly complicated for someone that has never done it?

By "create an engaging profile" do you mean the facebook page? I assume no one would be going to my actual profile. I just have my logo as the profile picture right now. Seems to be what others have done, although I want to change the logo or at least the colors for use on brighter sites.

I've tried that and still can't seem to gain traction. There are tons of weird spammy links that I have to filter through; I wish I could figure out a better way for that. But then the real sites I do find I get some of the weirdest responses. For example, one site that, on the surface anyway...
