    Need help with HostGator

It will resolve eventually, true, but propogation shouldn't be an issue these days for most of the common domain extensions - a lot of the newer naff extensions still take some time because these registries servers will be configured using the old recommendations to reduce server load. The top...

You should do the flush then. If you read my others posts, you will see that there should not be any time lag if you are on Hostgator's own servers for domain registration and hosting.

Sounds like the problem is that you need to clear your DNS resolver cache on windows (assuming you are on a windows o/s). To do that you need to access the command console - usually pressing the windows key + X on your keyboard will pull the access menu up, and select Command Prompt when the...

    Need help with HostGator

If he has registered the domain with Hostgator then there shouldn't be a problem with dns propogation as he is using their nameservers - usually it happens instantly but can take an hour or two at most. I use a different host and registrar companies, but at my registrar I have my own nameservers...

Adult Friend Network Gets Hacked - Again

Oh I agree with you 100% on that point .. but that's the user base. From a business owners perspective, they may well have been a large bunch of users that they weren't making any or much money from, so the owners could still consider the 'publicity' as free advertising, even if it is negative...

Adult Friend Network Gets Hacked - Again

I'm not so sure it was accidental. As HoneyBird pointed out, sites like that hold valuable info for hackers. It is also a huge publicity boost for the owners for the reasons I stated in an earlier post ... "all news is good news, no matter how bad it seems" ...

Adult Friend Network Gets Hacked - Again

The analogy was showing how negative news, no matter how bad, does not necessarily negatively affect people. I'm not from the US, so I don't give a damn about their politics. o_O PS .. I didn't realise I had made two posts along those same lines, that was an error. I was distracted when making...

Adult Friend Network Gets Hacked - Again

There's an old saying - 'any news is good news, no matter how bad it is' - when it comes to media exposure. I mean, look at all the shit that was flying around about Billary Clinton over the past months. 50 million brain dead americans ran right out and supported them after it. On the other...

Adult Friend Network Gets Hacked - Again

My thoughts exactly. If the site is struggling, nothing like free publicity to give it a boost -- and what better way to get attention than hacking/fraud right after the US election which was dominated by this kind of chatter. On the other hand ... maybe it's genuine ... maybe the Russians did it!
