If you do 45 sales in one year with 200 designs you're doing it wrong. I have designs that pull in 50$ each months. Do you use text-based designs or very minimalistic ones? If not please try the former. You can also try to use a redbubble trend tool to get some advantage on what topics are hot
You can create a new 'collection' in the store. From my experience it is better to reuse a store that has followers and purchases already than create a new one from scratch.
As said Shirts and Mugs are pretty saturated. My best selling products on Redbubble are stickers. My trick is to set the profit margin for stickers to 100%. People don't care really about the difference in price and this way selling a sticker nets me almost the profit of selling a shirt
The best ones in terms of traffic and SEO are Merch By Amazon and Redbubble.
If you don't plan on driving your own traffic just go with Redbubble, I am selling my designs there regularly without doing anything
