No, the SSL and CDN will not cause a problem. You could try using Smush for making your website images smaller. Images can also slow your user experience. Btw Bluehost provides free SSL and CDN. Some hosting providers make you pay extra just for an SSL free upgrade from Cloudflare. I did use...

Have you got SSL and DNS? Try Asset Clean Up. It is a tedious task but try removing each plugin that you have active and then check how it affects your loading time.
