So in your opinion this is a temporary change? Has there ever been a time when Amazon increased commissions? I haven't been in the game long but I've only ever known them to decrease.

Ridiculous. I just got the email too. My commissions have just basically been cut in half. I almost feel lucky that my primary commissions category didn't go down to 1%. But I'm starting to realize it's just a matter of time before that happens or they do away with the affiliate program entirely.
