have you tried to look at instagram analytics? it's a built in tool within instagram itself and it tracks your growth (followers+unfollowers) week on week. it captures most of the important information for me. i believe you have to be a business account to view those stats though.

ideally you should strive to post on instagram 3 times a day, and also post a story everyday. the algorithm favours accounts that are active from personal experience of having grown a page to 20k in 6 months. long story short: always be consistent!
