if you're doing it for SEO link equity, then you just want to ensure that the links you post don't have the "NoFollow" attribute; if the html code of the link you post has the following attribute it wont work: rel="nofollow"
i third that; all the link equity from your existing anchor-text optimized links may be lost or diluted if you want rank for other terms. another domain would be the best option.
