    yes, expired domains work

They work well if you know what you're doing. Inexperienced SEOs may not know what the best way to handle expired domains and don't do proper due diligence. Lately I've been building sites strictly on expired domains. I've learned that they tend to index faster and with less effort depending...

Site Affected by Google Update Both July and November Suggestions

Having the same thing going on with one of my sites and have been thinking of a strategy to get traffic back as well. I'm not in the health field so can help you there, but I'd like to hear further ideas. Have you analyzed the actual SERP for your keywords? It's possible Google has updated...

Best analytics tools you use to check traffic on your website?

GA, but I've used Matomo as well and find it good because of its built in tools that GA doesn't have. All depends on how you need to track traffic. With GA being a script and Matomo on the server they track differently.

Big dilemma: having everything under the same domain or getting multiple EMD?

If you're targeting national, it might be better to break sites out based on each area unless you have deep pockets and resources to try and rank a single brand site everywhere. If its just a local area, use 1 site with individual town or city pages.

How to run Display ads for visitor who visited competitor website

You can build an audience with a custom segment in Google Ads audience manager and target websites they've browsed and / or keywords they've searched for. I've done this for a number of campaigns and it works well if your targeting and campaign setup is on point.

Google December Update - Product Reviews Pages

All good man, this isn't my first rodeo. I know the game, just trying to give insights as to how it impacted a site since I haven't seen people give much info on it yet. I get that we're more or less on borrowed time depending on how the site is built or what topic it covers, which is why I...

Google December Update - Product Reviews Pages

Gotta love it. Was hit by another update over the summer prioritizing YouTube results over content right before I was looking to sell it during peak earning season.

[JOURNEY] Starting a Local Rank & Rent Business

Good luck. I've always liked the local lead gen model, but there are definitely downsides to it. I've gotten a few sites ranked pretty decent but just use pay per call via LeadSmart to monetize them for now until I decide what to do long term.

Google December Update - Product Reviews Pages

Was hit hard by this update - lost ~45% impressions / clicks in GSC overnight. A bunch of the info on my site is based on real world experience I have with the actual products and not the typical low quality "10 Best Product for Your Mom" like a lot of sites have. Based on Google wanting sites...

[JOURNEY] Local Site on a Budget - Lead Generation/Rank & Rent

An expired domain can help but it depends on what kind of links it has pointing to it and the past content. If it's related to what you're niche is, then try it out. I've used an expired domain before and it helped, but I went through the effort of trying to recreate everything NAP wise with...

[JOURNEY] Local Site on a Budget - Lead Generation/Rank & Rent

I can't speak for Holzr, but it doesn't take long to start ranking one of these sites if you know what to do depending on the niche. For example I started a local lead gen site probably 3-4 weeks ago on a brand new domain and its on the bottom of pg 1 for its target keyword and pg 2-3 for LSI...

[JOURNEY] Local Site on a Budget - Lead Generation/Rank & Rent

Always crazy what Angie's list will charge for a lead. From what I remember, they basically round robin the leads to multiple "partners" and essentially sell them to the highest bidder. This was always an issue with the clients I worked with in the past, they'd use a secondary lead gen program...

[JOURNEY] Local Site on a Budget - Lead Generation/Rank & Rent

If you're new it won't really matter what niche you pick if you don't know how to rank a site. Look at their list of services, pick something that seems odd or less popular then do your research and get after it.

[JOURNEY] Local Site on a Budget - Lead Generation/Rank & Rent

That's the way to do it. In the past I worked for a company that did something very similar in a few niches nationwide so I understand the model very well. Having your own customer service / call center reps is huge as far as making this a more legit long term business. Having a less popular...
