A bit of market research... Would you be interested in a self-hosted Google, Bing and Yahoo! rank tracker? All you'd need to pay for (after purchasing the script) would be the proxy servers and your hosting (it needs php / mysql / curl). The solutions like Authority Labs etc are great...

To be honest, you're probably better off just paying the monthly subscription for an established tracker. The time and effort it takes to code and manage your own is daft compared to the $10 a month for someone else to do it.
