Google updates its algorithm every few months. Sometimes it gets better, sometimes worse. But maybe a lot of your traffic was also bot-related, which are dead now? If you want to increase your traffic in general I would recommend to a build a community, e.g. via discord and invest in SEO...

I would invest more in backlinks. You can check your progress with ahrefs.

You have good chances that it could work with a new domain, because a lot of SEO is built also via PBNs, backlinks etcs, with a new domain you have a fresh history. But maybe you should also "hide" pages that google could not like, e.g. make it not indexable with robots.txt.
