All tools like Semrush does traffic estimates based on the total traffic of that keyword and your position on Google. So yes it can be trusted but if you check your Google Analytic stats it can be a difference of 30-40%. But that is my personal experience.

I've seen this with the latest Google update with just affiliate websites. Keep testing and keep exploring. Maybe this website will not recover anymore but don't quit that easy.
