Yes ,because home page was showing in first page for city+service keywords.Now it is pushed to second page because we removed all city+service content . Like you said ,will wait some more time.

Well, Im not an expert , but here google is preferring to show home page.I would say target your keyword for home page. I had tough time ranking a website in interior design niche for inner page.

i have a website with spam score 50 .. it is doing decently well. So don't look too much in spam score, but i would assume it would be difficult if you plan to sell the site
