Wordpress is self-hosted (unless you are paying for them to take care of it for you). You need to manage the backend and it's not all drag &a drop like Wix. To set up a more advanced site, you'd need development knowledge, otherwise just simply use one of the various Wordpress membership plugins.

There is always the ever-popular PayPal... Others to consider are Skrill, Dwolla, WePay. It's unfortunate you cannot continue to utilize Stripe. It is the best in my opinion.
