I use wordpress for my site and some pinging sites. Creating fresh and quality content gives me a lot of backlinks from reputed sites, who republish my articles. So, as the old says, content is king.

BTW, what is your Alexa Rank ?You invite friends or buy traffic?It seems to be generated traffic, from some social network, because if REAL friends visit your site, you could earn a lot more than 0,01$.

Never happen this to me, anyway I make a weekly back-up on a external HDD of 1TB(USB connected).I don't like online backups, takes too long to upload but can works for others with partial backup.
