Is it OK to start building links right away for a fresh site? I have heard that you just share your site on social networks for a one month or 2 and then you start building links?

Couldn't agree more with this one. For an example I started 2 niche sites and had $1-$2 cpc when I did kw research. But all I'm getting after building the site is $0.10 cpc. Feels bad man. :( Any solution?
