Because most people are selling shit offers. People fall for the idea that "you don't have to be good at anything to make this work"... that's BS. You either have to be good at something, or you have to be able to hire people who are good at something, or you have to be willing to partner up...

I would consider old school networking. I am sure there are some rich people in your city. Start rubbing shoulders with people who are close to them. Attend events, be a pleasant person to be around and eventually you will get into circles where you can get funding for your idea.

You can try to do this method using local Facebook groups. For example, you would type in "Chicago Buy/Sell Group", join the group, make up some story why these are being given away, post link. Then repeat in all cities in US, UK, AUS, NZ, etc...... just an idea.

Not a bad idea. Aim to close the clients on some sort of a monthly "security + optimization" retainer. Not sure what city you are in but finding 20 - 30 companies willing to pay for this is not that hard. Then you can use this money to focus on some other stuff.
