I'm already outsourcing the writing but that's it for now.
Starting to think of ways to outsource everything else going forward but not ready to hire a VA or anything quite yet.
And I really wrote the title that way to show that I was doing this without investing lots of money. Of course, this...
Made a lot of progress since the last update.
Site #2 currently has 92 posts and Site #1 has 58 posts and 5 videos. It would be 60 posts but I deleted the only two posts that weren't written by myself.
Site #1 has settled on position #3 for its main keyword but isn't earning the income that I...
Update 12
I know it’s been a long time since my last update.
Since then I’ve gained full custody of my 1-year old daughter and I started working again (no longer as poor lol) so a few things (such as this thread) had to be put on the back burner as my time is extremely limited these days...
It's because they're habitually used to working hard. When you're used to working hard all the time then it's easy to do other things that are hard.
If you're used to being lazy all the time then even something as simple as writing an article seems like a lot of work.
Update 11
Since my last update I've written 1 article for Website #2 (2700 words) and 3 articles for Website #1 (1500, 2700, & 5700 words).
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get as much work done lately as raising my 1-year-old is taking up most of my time. l still try to get a little work...
Forgot to mention that I'm finally ranking on the 2nd page (about halfway in the middle) for my main keyword for Website #1.
If my previous experience has taught me anything, I can expect good things to come my way soon!
Update #10
Two days ago I posted my first video (almost 7-minutes long) and yesterday I posted a 1900+ word article, both for Website #1.
I've spent most of my free time lately learning how to make videos and I have to admit it comes to me far more naturally than writing does. I still plan to...
Update #9
Had a rough couple of weeks where I didn't get much done in terms of writing but I took care of lots of little things that needed to be done so I don't feed too bad.
Just finished writing and posting a 4100+ word article on Website #1 yesterday with tons of images and even a video to...
Update #8
Decided to update the biggest post on Website #1 (best keyword) which is 5700+ words.
I rewrote 60% of the article, edited the rest, and added a bunch of new images, links, etc.
The only thing left to do is to create a table and that's it.
Interested to see if this improves...
Website #1 now has 2300+ monthly visitors and Website #2 has almost 600.
I really wish I still had Clicky as Google Analytics seems kind of clunky to me.
I updated to the new GA 4 and took down the old one like a month or so ago, then I realized it's not as simple to use so I reset the old...
Update #7
Finished writing a 2600 word post earlier and published it on Website #1 with a couple of images.
I've also started mentioning all of my old posts (from both websites) on Facebook and Twitter. I'm not sure if this really helps with rankings anymore, but I figured I would do it anyway...
Yup, I'm the same way, and I do use Grammarly it's amazing. I don't know how I ever got by without it lol.
And thanks, I definitely feel like big things are coming!
My website is loading pretty fast (90% on Gtmetrix.com), but I will try to speed that up a little if I can. I've been writing...
Update #6
Spend the past week finding hundreds of keywords for both my websites on Ahrefs.com by using the 7-day trial for $7.
I also spent the past week writing a little each day and just finished a 3000+ word article for Website #2 and edited the post to look as aesthetic as possible...
Yeah that's what I thought, but I've heard some people have had success with 301 redirects and using a .com instead of a .org or .net.
Thanks for the help though I'll stick with the .org if it makes no difference.
No the domain name is different.
And I don't think I could find an expired domain with good enough links to make it worth not being able to choose the domain name. And the .com domain I was buying matches my Youtube channel name.
Okay.. here's the dilema.
I have an old.org domain (4-5+ years old maybe) that's currently ranking for a few good keywords but still isn't ranking anywhere for the main keyword.
When looking at the top 25+ results all of the sites are .com except for one .co.
I was considering transfering the...
Update #5
Last night I finished writing a 1650+ word review article on a product I own and posted it to Website #1 today.
I took a few pictures of the product myself and edited all the images with Pixlr.com. Pixlr.com is great for editing images and makes it easy for me to adjust the size of...
