They are owned by Facebook and use similar algorithms to detect inconsistencies in the users behavior... but sometimes it makes no sense and their system is far from perfect and it makes mistakes .

it might work because somehow you managed to stay under the radar but it's dangerous because you can get banned. be careful.

you can pay bigger accounts for shout outs but that can get really expensive really fast. you can also use other apps that provide followers but it's harder and harder to find a good one.

you can sell tshirts for your niche or products that are compatible with your audience. don't post affiliate links because that will get your account banned.

i don't think you have a limit as long as you are doing it in a way that is non-abusive. basically, don't change it every week because then your account will come under suspicion.
