Indeed it does, google is your friend if you want to clear your fundamental concepts. Sorry to say but if you are using await most of the times then nodejs is not for you no matter how much you love it. Multi threading is a different concept with it's own benefits, don't get confused.

Asynchronous processing is the essence of nodejs. The main thread doesn't need to wait for io operations to finish before moving forward. Please don't comment if you have no technical knowledge.
