Your biggest obstacle is not the expense and requirement setting up that platform, it's the SMS backend provider that you'll be using. You will not get very far when your users start sending spam.

How do you deal with 10DLC requirement nowadays? You can't snowshoe with Toll free either.

Being cheap doesn't mean anything if you can't deliver any message. For example I've used providers that can deliver to certain carriers but not others. I've mostly had good luck with Twilio so far but is looking to move to another one with less headaches.

Thanks for the insight. The reason I'm stuck with those 2 because they offered the best deliverability based on my own tests. I test every creative I send out beforehand to my 3 SIM cards (3 top carriers in the US) and verify I get the SMS before sending the campaign. I've tried few other...
