UPDATE - Reached $243/mo. and 6,500 pageviews/mo!!
Things are looking up. My rankings keep rising and so does the pageviews and affiliate income. The display ads have barely made any income tho. Also Amazon Canada hasn't brought anything in since the first couple of sales.
END OF YEAR SUMMARY...
UPDATE - I share my expenses/income pivot graphs TEMPLATE
A lot of you guys have asked about the expense/income graph I keep sharing on here (see below for an example). I decided to share with you guys a template of the google sheet file I use to make these. I'm not sure how useful you will...
Yeah let me remove private info and get that posted in the next post.
Thanks! The graphs take a lot of fidgeting before they look this lol. Regarding commission junction, that would only be like affiliate links to certain products right? I was thinking of in content relevant display ads. I've...
Awesome progress! I have a similar post thread on here too. Just broke above $100 in Amazon per month but I need to spend more time on optimizing and adding content to keep it growing like you. Good luck!
UPDATE - How should I monetize info articles?
My website is finally profitable! I made $39 last month and I'm on track to make $100 this month. You can see in the graph below, I haven't invested any money (or time) into the site since April 2020. I guess the site is a late bloomer. But also my...
UPDATE - Just broke 1,000 pageviews per month
So just checked my account after a long time. Looks like things are looking up. I broke just above 1,000 pageviews for September. Also made $13.77 last month and quite likely will beat that amount in October. I literally haven't touched the site...
UPDATE - Long time no see
It's been forever since my last update. To be honest I gave up on this project by the end of April and have been focusing on my other side jobs outside of IM. However, I just recently decided to get back into it but this time with ecommerce. I am looking to start a...
I adapted Doug Counington's product review template.
For tables I use the TablePress plugin (with the TablePress Extension: Responsive Tables plugin) combined with my own custom CSS.
I haven't used any yet. I just saw this one on the forums being recommended: http://dollar35seo.com/skills/hot-services/
No idea how good they are. But they do have a shit load of positive reviews. Also, I doubt it is like the actual guest posts most people think of being guest posts.
So I bought a "Small Foundations" package from The HOTH which was basically like links from 3 referring Web 2.0 sites. Not sure how big of an impact this had to be honest. But I paid $60 and heard it was highly recommended by Doug Cunnington. Going forward for backlinkings, I will be buying...
I've submitted my sitemaps to both Google Console and Bing and that's all I've done. I don't manually submit each new URL to be indexed. Not sure if I should be doing that? I feel like they will all get indexed in like a month at the latest anyway right?
I always use Amazon's SiteStripe generated links for each product image. I've heard Amazon doesn't like you downloading the images and uploading it to your website.
2 to 3 images for info articles. 5 to 7 images for product review articles. Their Alt text are partial or exact matches for kws.
My writers also write a 160 char. max meta description for each article.
Well by optimize I mainly mean comparing my article to competitors to match the following:
Word count to exceed all competitors by 300 words
Match keyword density (not as important I think)
Match the number of affiliate links used by competitors
Add backlinks to articles that need if the items...
Thanks for the reply! I think I understand where you are coming from. Going back through published posts, checking their rankings, and optimizing pages to rank higher is definitely a key part of the process. I think you're also recommending to focus more on getting the already published content...
UPDATE - Gonna push ahead anyways!
Despite the devastating change in Amazon affiliate rates, I've thought about it and decided I'm going to push ahead anyways with my Amazon niche sites and even create more Amazon niche sites. You might think I'm crazy but here are my main reasons:
The sites...
