Like with anything it's trial and error a lot of the time. I would test using a bot on an account you don't mind getting banned and work from there. I personally myself would get to 50k and then stop using a bot.

I have done a lot of unfollowing myself in the past within the space of a few hours and never had a problem so I don't think Twitter has any kind of policy that prevents you from unfollowing as many as you need to.

I was always under the impression that you had to contact Twitter themselves to become verified and they would provide with information they needed before verifying you. It really depends on the kind of verification you want.

I have never myself personally ever added random people to my personal linkedin account no however I have had random people random adds to my account before. I tend to just ignore and don't bother unless I know who they are.

I wouldn't say they would ban you for doing this no. I am pretty sure they will be looking out for those who are doing things they really shouldn't be doing in terms of anything illegal on the site rather than anything as small as this.
