You could definitely make money with adult. I have a 50 page eBook on adult websites. The main key is traffic as everyone said. You need lots of traffic. Adult doesn't convert as well as mainstream though.

DigitalOcean cloud hosting might be good, you can set up wordpress and upload to the digitalocean servers and then grab the file code and post it on your other websites. If your creating a video host like youtube where people can upload, you might want to purchase dedicated servers for it.
